Rüdiger Weißbach

Rüdiger Weißbach

Born 1962 in Bremen, Germany, Rüdiger Weißbach studied from 1980 to 1986 at FU and TU Berlin (M.A., Communication Studies). From 1987 to 2009 he worked in organization and ICT departments for Siemens and a regional mortgage bank. Since 1990 he has been teaching at universities, first at University of Göttingen and FU Berlin, since 2001 at HAW Hamburg. In 2000 he achieved his doctoral degree at FU Berlin (Information Sciences) with a thesis about diffusion of Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN).

 

Since 2009 he is Professor for Business Information Systems at the Business Department of HAW Hamburg. Main research topics are Requirements Engineering, Business Process Management and the influence of digitalization on Business Models. 2012 he was appointed Vice Dean for Research (now Vice Dean for Research and Digitalization). 2015 he was co-founder of the Business Innovation Lab (BIL@HAW). He is engaged in national and EU transfer projects on innovation processes and education for digitalization.
